AgentBuddy
A New Zealand tradie on a build site

Get off the phone,
stay on the tools.

AgentBuddy is the AI office manager for New Zealand tradies. It answers the calls you miss, writes the quote, books the job, sends the invoice and chases the money, so your evenings are yours again.

● Starting at NZ$29 a month. Set up with you over four short calls, booked late afternoon so we are not pulling you off a job.

Works with the tools you already run

Works with what you already run

It plugs into your phone, your Xero, your diary.

Nothing to rip out and nothing new to learn. AgentBuddy keeps your existing number, writes into the calendar you already use, and pushes invoices straight into Xero. If you run nothing but a phone and a notebook, that works too.

A New Zealand tradie taking a call on site

It runs the office. You run the job.

One agent, sitting on your phone and your inbox, doing the admin that keeps you up at night.

Answers your phone

Miss a call and you miss a job. AgentBuddy picks up, works out what the customer needs and books the work while your hands are full.

Writes your quotes

Snap a photo or just say the job out loud. A tidy, GST-sorted quote goes to the customer in seconds, not at 9pm on the couch.

Chases your money

It invoices the second a job is done and nudges the late payers for you. No more awkward "any chance of that invoice" texts.

Books your jobs

Work goes straight into your diary, the week stays straight, and nothing slips through the cracks between site and van.

Follows up your leads

Quotes that went quiet get a friendly nudge a few days later. Cold jobs turn warm while you get on with the work.

Reminds your customers

Sends the "on my way" text and the appointment reminder, so you get fewer no-shows and a better name on the street.

Gets you reviews

Asks happy customers for a Google review at exactly the right moment, so your reputation builds itself in the background.

Talks like a person

Tell it what you need the way you would tell an office manager. No menus, no forms, no software to learn on a Sunday.

We set it up with you

You are not handed a login and left to it. Four short calls, all booked late afternoon or after five, because you are on a job all day.

STEP 01

Tell us about the business

Two minutes on the form below. Your trade, how many of you there are, and the best time to ring. That is all we need to get started.

2 minutes, right now
STEP 02

Call one: name it and brief it

You give your agent a name, and we load it with everything it needs to work for you: how big the outfit is, who works with you, the kinds of jobs you take, what those jobs are usually worth and what you charge. It ends the call knowing your business.

About 30 minutes
STEP 03

Call two: plug it in and go live

We connect it to your number, your calendar, your Xero and whatever job software you already run. By the end of this call it is answering real calls and writing real quotes.

You are live after this one
STEP 04

Calls three and four: tune it on real jobs

We go through the jobs it handled, fix anything that did not sound like you, and tighten the pricing rules. Then we hand you the keys and stay on the end of the phone.

A fortnight apart

Pay for what it handles

A small monthly fee for the agent, then a few cents each time it deals with a customer for you. A quiet month costs you almost nothing.

Starting at
NZ$29
per month + GST, then 25c per customer conversation

The NZ$29 covers

  • Your own agent, named and briefed on your business
  • Your four setup calls, done with you
  • Unlimited quotes and invoices
  • Your existing number, calendar and Xero connected
  • Someone on the end of the phone when you need us

The 25c covers

  • A call answered and a job taken
  • A quote written and sent
  • An invoice chased until it is paid
  • A lead followed up or a review asked for
  • You only pay when it actually does something

What that works out to. A one-person outfit usually lands between NZ$45 and NZ$130 a month. A busy crew with a few vans runs NZ$150 to NZ$400. Set a monthly cap and it will never go past it without asking you first.

Case studies

What a week looks like once the office runs itself. Worked examples from the trades we build for.

A plumber on the job

Plumbing · Solo operator

The 7pm callback that used to be a lost job

Burst pipe calls come in while both hands are under a sink. The agent answers, triages the urgency, books the emergency into the diary and texts the customer an ETA before the phone stops ringing.

An electrician on the job

Electrical · Small crew

Quotes out the same day, not the same fortnight

A photo of the switchboard and a voice note is enough. The agent writes the quote against your price book, sends it with GST sorted, and nudges the customer if it goes quiet for three days.

A builder on site

Building · Multiple sites

Nobody chasing the money but the software

Invoices go out the moment a stage signs off, reminders run on their own schedule, and the awkward third follow-up gets sent by something that does not feel awkward about sending it.

Questions people ask

Do I have to change the software I already use?

No. AgentBuddy sits on top of what you already run. It keeps your phone number, talks to your Xero, writes into your calendar and works alongside your job software. If you run nothing at all except a phone and a notebook, that works too.

Will my customers know they are talking to an AI?

It introduces itself as your assistant, by the name you give it. It does not pretend to be you. Most customers just want someone to pick up, take the details and tell them when you are coming.

What happens with an emergency at 2am?

You set the rules. A burst pipe or a lockout can be pushed straight through to your phone, while a quote enquiry waits until morning. It triages the call before it wakes you.

How does the usage pricing actually work?

NZ$29 a month covers the agent and your setup. On top of that you pay 25 cents each time it handles a customer for you: a call answered, a quote sent, an invoice chased. A quiet week costs you a couple of dollars. You can set a monthly cap so it never surprises you.

How long until it is actually working?

It is taking real calls by the end of your second setup call. The two calls after that are for tuning it on jobs it has already done.

Is it built for New Zealand?

Yes. GST is handled properly, the pricing is in NZD, and it is built around how New Zealand trades actually quote and invoice. There is an Australian version too.
